Lila's album was found by my father after the war was ended. The album was kept by Polish neighbours.


Lila was a funny girl, she wanted to be actress,she loved to perform and to pose to the camera.
She was taken by Nazi's from Wloszczowa Ghetto together with her mother and grandmother to Treblinka concentration camp , were she was murdered at the age of 23.

This is my aunt Lila, I never met her because she was murdered before I was born,my father did not speak much about her or about the rest of the family. He didn't share his feelings with his children.He wanted his children to grow up as free people in a new homeland.Poland was not his homeland anymore, Poland was for him a grave-yard which he did not want to visit ever again. More then 50 years past since the war ended, he never went back and never wanted to.
