Antisemitic persecutions started in Germany in 1935 and continued with extermination of 6,000,000 Jews.
Anti-Semitism exists in Poland today more than ever before. Before WWII there were pogroms of anti-Semitic groups against Jews with many victims among Jews. During the communist period, between the end of the war and falling of the communist regime, anti-Semitism was forbidden in Poland.
Today, Poland, as a democratic country, is open to growing anti-Semitic voices, ideas, facts, without interference of the authorities. This phenomenon can bring some people to act against Jews because hatred is spread all over the media sources. And the words of the Polish popular song tell it all:
“Oh the Protestants hate the Catholics,
and the Catholics hate the Protestants,
and the Hindus hate the Moslems
and everybody hates the Jews”
